HAROLD KLOONGIAN

Harold Kloongian received his art education at the Museum of Fine arts- Boston, the Art Institute of Boston, Boston University, and private studies with Emile Gruppe, John Pike, Edgar Whitney, Carl Nelson, and frank Rines.

Harold was a commercial artist under employment by several agencies and industrial organizations in the Boston area. Upon retirement, he was the Director of Publications for the Aveo Research Laboratory- Textron.

Since his retirement. Harold devotes his time to painting and to support of the arts. He has served three terms as president of the North Shore Arts Association and as the organizations vice president.

Harold's work is representative of the New England scene which includes the shores, harbors and streets of cape Ann or the mountains, farms and villages of Vermont. His love for New England, through its four seasons, is reflected in his work.

He is recipient of many awards including the Grumbacher Gold Medal. He is an artist member of the Academic Artist Association of Springfield, Massachusetts, Hudson Valley Art Association, International Society of marine painters, Rockport Art Association, and the North Shore Arts Association.
