Ken Knowles

A native of Rockport, Massachusetts, born June 9, 1968, Ken Knowles is a veteran painter of traditional American Impressionism in New England. His success has allowed him to stay in this beautiful seaside art colony, where he continues to live with his wife and son.

Ken's works are part of countless private, and several corporate collections across the country and abroad. Mr. Knowles has shown in many national exhibitions and has an award winning reputation.

Mr. Knowles enjoys teaching workshops and is an informative demonstrator. He says that he credits much of his skills to some of Cape Ann's finest artists, with whom he has worked closely for over twenty years.

Mr. Knowles is a member of the Rockport Art Association, as well as the Academic Artists Association, and the Hudson Valley Art Association. His recent awards include the Silver Brush Award and the Excellence in Landscape from the Academic Artists Association; an Excellence in Oil Landscape, the Bernard Corey Memorial Award and the Alan Davidson Memorial Award from the Rockport Art Association as well as Stanley and Vivian Reed Memorial Award and the Edward and Elizabeth Schlemm Memorial Award.
