NEWQUIST
Ruth
Newquist is known for her New York So Ho landscapes as well as
New England rural and urban scenes. She is a member of the National
Watercolor Society, the Hudson Valley Art Association, Connecticut
Watercolor Society, North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester,
MA, Academic Artists in Springfield, MA, and Catherine Lorillard
Wolfe and American Artists Professional League in New York City.
Ruth
exhibits her paintings throughout New England, New York and the
West Coast. She also teaches private workshops and classes, and
has judged juried art shows and given painting demonstrations
for various art organizations.
Ruth
has won many awards and was the subject of the watercolor page
for American Artist magazine June 1999 issue.
